As a Media Market Specialist, you will be responsible for the research, planning, implementation and follow-through of all media and media-related functions for broad-based media, inclusive of linear television, spot radio, print and out-of-home.

PLANNING/BUYING RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deliver best-in-class media solutions that employ integrated thinking and ideas.
  • Create sound media buys based on a clear understanding of client objectives.
  • Develop and execute cost-efficient buys while meeting goals and budgets.
  • Establish and adhere to strong negotiating tactics while securing the best price, quality and placement of media weight.
  • Monitor media buy performance on a weekly and quarterly basis and arrange for any makegoods.
  • Report buy performance in the form of a post-buy analysis and track any compensation owed for under-delivery.
  • Review all media invoices and resolve all discrepancies.
  • Negotiate added value opportunities that align with client goals.
  • Provide regular reporting to the Director of Media on the performance of plan-to-buy activity.
  • Perform analysis of historical performance and apply learnings to future negotiations.
  • Evaluate additional media opportunities and provide a clear POV to the client.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, market conditions, competitive activity, current events and outside influences affecting the negotiation and clearance of media buys.
  • As needed, assist the Director of Media in presenting media plans/buys including objectives, strategy, rationale, and all backup materials.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Bring challenger brand thinking to grow client and agency business.
  • Work with the Account Team to continuously develop, monitor, and adjust media schedules based on performance feedback from clients.
  • Build strong working relationships with all clients.
  • Evaluate and provide point-of-view recommendations for new media opportunities.
  • Utilize media research tools and resources to aid in campaign development and track competitive activity.
  • Study demographic data and consumer profiles to help identify the desired target audience.
  • Extend media thinking to all accounts, not just the ones for which we plan and place media.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 3-5 years of marketing agency media buying experience
  • Knowledge of Freewheel (Strata), ComScore, Vivvex, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Digital buying experience in OTT/CTV or Addressable TV is a plus
  • Self-starter who can work independently and proactively solve challenges.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication, project management and time management skills.
