ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN/OPERATIONS TECHNICIAN: Regular, Full-time: Must perform the duties of a
Television Operations Technician which includes experience in both a Television Station’s Master Control Operation
and Technical Operations Center. Individual must be able to handle multiple technical responsibilities and changes
in a fast paced, deadline-oriented environment. Candidate must be proficient in operating production switchers,
audio boards, robotic cameras, graphics and video playouts. Duties also include Studio care and upkeep. Direct
experience with SONY ELC and Grass Valley ITX strongly preferred. Individual will also be required to code
newscast content for air.
Two (2) year technical or RTF degree preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered. Two (2) or more years’
experience as an Engineering Operations Technician, Master Control Technician and Technical Operations Center
operator a plus. Individual must possess the ability to effectively multi-task. Must possess strong communication
skills, be a team player and maintain a professional demeanor. Working knowledge of current Operating systems,
iNews and various broadcast software applications strongly preferred. The candidate must be flexible and willing
to work nights, weekends and holidays, as necessary and perform other duties as assigned.
