Media Tour History
Our Annual Student Media Tour is designed to serve as professional education outside the classroom with an emphasis on career tracks and internships. Each year the tour continues to grow. This year we hosted our 3rd Annual Student Tour, with 28 students. The students came from various universities: including University of TX- Arlington, Texas A&M, Oklahoma University, Texas Tech, University of North Texas, University of TX- Tyler and Northwood University.
The students experience a whole day touring media facilities and being enlightened by television, radio, newspaper and advertising media partners. The department heads from these various facilities explained job skill requirements, various career tracks and internship opportunities. Resumes are collected by the media partners in consideration for internships. The Annual Student Media Tour includes executive transportation, meals, chaperones and a One Year Student Membership to our organization. We invite students and media partners to get involved each year. For more information contact: Vivian Unger, Student in Broadcast Chair, veunger@swbell.ne
