News from Southwest Media Reps - Showdown Set for May 8th

Get ready for Showdown POOLSIDE! This year Showdown will be held at Sisu, a resort oasis deep in the heart of Uptown.  It’s on Maple Ave. right across the street from The Crescent.
There will be plenty of great food and complimentary beer. There is no official pre-party this year, so the Showdown start time has been moved up to 3pm.  Arrive early and enjoy the beautiful poolside patio…and yes you can swim if you’d like.
Tickets on sale now:  $50 before April 1st, $75 before May 1st, $100 at the door, so make sure to get your tickets early.
Also, please send old Showdown photos/buttons to Zach Wohldmann (zwohldmann@cbs.com).  He’d like to make a big collage of them on the website for all to see.
To purchase tickets, go to: http://bit.ly/Showdown14_EarlyBird. A portion of the proceeds will benefit DREAM Fund. Please spread the word and invite all of your media friends!

Radio Industry Q&A with Randy Pacheco of I-NET

Randy PachecoWhat got you into the industry?
Back in the late 90’s I had couple of good friends who were in the industry and repeatedly told me about the great opportunities in Radio sales and the growth potential.  Eventually a sales position became available that interested me and I jumped at the chance.
Which women do you think really stand out?
